Western New York Book Arts Collaborative: Opening Event Friday May 21 6PM-9PM DROP-OFF DATES Saturday May 15 Noon-6PM, Wednesday May 19 Noon-6PM & Thursday May 20 Noon-4PM Western New York Book Arts Center (WNYBAC) presents the 2nd annual Member's Show. This year WNYBAC is introducing a Best in Show Award, a special guest juror will select 3 projects, the winners will receive a group exhibition in 2011. The WNYBAC annual Members’ Exhibition is open to current, renewing, and new members of WNYBAC. Members may submit one work per member and submissions may include any work that is “book” related: prints, painting, text, collage, traditional binding, sculptural books. The definition of “book” is left to the widest possible interpretation. There is no fee to enter. No commercially produced work unless the design is fully executed by the artist. Work must be created by a WNYBAC member as a single piece or edition. Not a member or has your membership lapsed? Become a member or renew your membership online (www.wnybookarts.org) or in person when you drop off your work for the exhibition. Work will be displayed at the WNY Book Arts Center from May 21-July 9 2010. Work may have been created at any time but recent work is encouraged. Work can be for sale or listed as not for sale (NFS). 2-dimensional submissions must be ready for hanging and all work must be labeled with artist’s name, title, process, date, and sales price. If your piece is larger than four feet in any direction, please contact WNYBAC prior to submitting to make arrangements. Work will be displayed in the best possible manner as space allows. If the work is intend to be picked up and read, white cotton gloves will be placed near the work but any handling will present the risk of wear. If the work is not intended to be handled, we will display in a case or hang on a wall. We are unable to accommodate video/digital submissions at this time.
