Intro to Fontlab

Limited to 6 participants. fee: $100 ($80 for WNYBAC members)

Learn the basics of the program Fontlab Studio 5, the standard software used to make most digital fonts today. Participants will learn glyph drawing techniques, digitizing from scanned artwork, spacing and kerning plus a myriad of other details in the process of making your own digital fonts. A laptop computer is recommended if you have your own and a basic understanding of Bezier curves highly recommended.
